Why can't I even get to the interview stage?

I'm job hunting at the moment and I'm doing everything I can think of. Handing C.Vs into the stores, phoning cleaning agencies, signing up to online agencies, sending C.Vs into places for vacancies.

I don't even get an interview.

Im guessing you are in the uk? Well you just have to keep trying, if i dont hear back for a job even if its just at the aplication stage i chase them up what have you got to lose and they might appriciate the fowardness. Good luck and be confident ;)Why can't I even get to the interview stage?
Review your CV. Instead of having one standard CV you need to tweak it a bit so that every CV you hand in seems relevant to the job you are applying for rather than just one bog standard CV that says nothing about why you feel you should get the job. I'm not suggesting you lie, just amend the CV so it is relevant to each individual job you apply for.Why can't I even get to the interview stage?
You have to improve your selling skills... The way you portray yourself to the interviewer makes a stronger impact than CVs alones.
It a tough time for anyone to find a job these days so there is alot of competition going on.

Just keep at it.
