I was playing Super Mario Bros. 3 on Super Nintendo, and after I beat stage 2 in World two, I got the custom Card game icon but I also got a Blue Mushroom store icon....Once i went to the bonus Blue Mushroom, it said "you have found my shop of strange and wonderful things" and only one chest was available...once i opened the chest, I got an anchor... What does the anchor do and how did I get the bonus shop available?On super mario bro. 3, there is a blue mushroom that apeared in world 2 after i beat stage 2...?
The bonus shop is available when you do certain special things in certain levels. Read a walk through to be more specific, there are many lvs and different secrets in each.
As for the anchor. It's pretty much useless. You know at the end of a world when the airship shows up with one of bowsers kids on it? And if you try but fail it flies to a different part of the map?
Well, if you use the anchor it won't fly away. Saving you the trouble of moving Mario on the world map to its new location. Hurrah.

The Anchor keeps the boss ship from moving around the board. When you finish a stage with 44 coins, it will appear.
