When did you start washing your babys clothes?

how long before your due date have you/will you wash your babys clothes? how do you plan to store them until your baby starts wearing them?

im only 26 weeks tomorrow so dont plan on doing it until the last month but a lot of people i know around my stage have already done it.

also when do you plan to set up the cot, pram etc?|||as far as i know from a medicine student in my family, newborns have absolutely no immunity in the initial stages, they usually get it from mothers milk and just by experiencing things as they grow up.

So i would opt for clothes to be completely germ free = washed very recently, however, i dont think its very likely for them to get sick because of the clothes alone.

As per other stuff - you are only around 3 months from giving birth, and the baby is there to stay, so whenever you feel like, be sure that its not too early at this stage for sure! :)

Just do it whenever you feel most energetic!|||I washed 0-3 months in non bio 3 weeks before, we bought a mini wardrobe in 3 sections, the top 2 had bars with mini hangers and the 3rd was a shelf for baby-grows, vests , socks etc.

The cot was up far too early in the nursery(no mattress) at 20 weeks! but we were trying 3 1/2 years... so we were ahead in everything with excitement.

Congratulations, xx|||i washed my baby clothes as i bought them as soon as i had a full load they went in the wash and then were put in a chest of drawers we'd bought for the nursery, it just made it a lot easier in the last few weeks as i had less energy and wanted to relax, the rest of the time i was making sure we had everything we'd need.

i never set up the cot until my son was 3 weeks old, he slept in his crib in our room so we had time to put that up after the initial rush of visitors calmed down, and his pram was at my parents house they put it up and delivered it to us a couple of days after we came home from the hospital, they had heard of a superstition about not having the pram in our house before the baby was born|||I have OCD and had nesting in pregnancy so all the clothes were washed as I got them and stored in the baby dresser. I had the bassinet set up for the last 2 months with sheets and all. It's never too early to be prepared.|||I didnt even wash them, arent they already clean because they are new?
