Where do i take my daughter to get her first (junior) bra?

i want this to be a positive, special experience like it was for me. do department stores even carry "training" bras anymore? or do i go to target? we're talking breast bud stage, but she's ready...|||My stepdaughter just reached that same stage. There is not enough there to fill out a training bra but enough where they need something more than an undershirt to cover it up. We made a day of it. Dad stayed home with the baby and we went to Target in the girls section. They have 2 types, one that is similar to a sports bra and one that is just like an adult bra (complete with under-wire) I thought she would want the sports bra type as it would be more comfy but she didn't, she wanted the "real" bra kind. We picked a few sizes and colors and then tried them on. Once she found one that she liked I made sure it fit comfortable and we bought a few different colors. Then we went to lunch and had a good time. Then when she got home she tried on her new bra with like every shirt she owns to see how it looked and was soo proud of her "new boobs" lol. She had a great time and it wasn't very expensive at all.|||You can go kohls. They have some in the normal bra section and over in the girls section ( not juniors section) the ones in the girls section are probably your best bet. They are not too expensive either. Target does have good bras too. You might want to look in their girls section too. It is the same way for other stores. You will most likely find a training bra in a girls section instead of the nomal bra section.|||Make it a girls day out, with lunch and the works, then go to a high end department store, or Victoria's Secret. Get her fitted for her first bra. She may actually, not need a training bra.(what would they train for anyway|||Have you thought about a sports bra? My 11 yr old daughter is at this same stage and most of the girls wear sports bras. You can pick them up at any of the stores like Target or Walmart. Hers have the adjustable straps and are very comfortable for her to wear. We have tried training bras, but she doesn't feel as comfortable.|||Go to J C Penney's. They have junior bras and the sales person there will help you. That is where I took my daughters when they were ready.|||This may sound horrible but I went the Wal-Mart route. They have really cute bra and panties sets that are affordable. It has always been one of her favorite gifts to purchase for her favorite aunt so I made a gift of it and it worked especially when she saw the Hannah Montana and High School Music sets.|||whatt? ever heard of like a store....

Personally, I'd go to walmart (I know most people don't like shopping there) but they have the best selection and at a low price.

Just a few examples I found on the website.
