Awkward stage where i have no style?

all my life, mo matter what phase i was going through, i had a style. but i don't now...

%26amp; i really hate it.

it's just so awkward. wearing shorts, sweatshits %26amp; nikes isn't gonna work for the rest of the year. i don't really know how i wan a dress. within in the past few years, i went through dressing like a prep (LOL ew), an "emo" kid, a skater, %26amp; yeah. now i' just awkwardly no where. what styles can you suggest? something like...not girly, yet edgy %26amp; daring %26amp; apporacable? i think that's what i want. any store/ style suggestions?|||Instead of focusing on fitting into a premade label style, create your own style. Do this by going to any store and picking out clothes that you like, not because it is prep, emo, or skater. Look for pictures online or in magazines that reflect your taste and focus your style around that. I personally like getting influence from Lookbook.nu and Chictopia.com. I also love to read magazines like Vogue, Elle, and Nylon.

Since you said you like things that are "edgy and daring and approachable," I recommend getting punk-inspired stuff like combat boots, studded belts and jewelry, and leather jackets. They sell them at places like Forever 21 and Wet Seal. To make these approachable, you tame down the rest of the outfit. Like don't wear a leather jacket with a black shirt, black pants, black everything. It makes you look gloomy and intimidating. Add some colors, like white, gray, and red.

Here's an article that gives good tips to help you develop your own style:

Remember, the difference between having a label style and having your own style is that by having your own style, you can be yourself and you can pick up influence from anything. Label styles have to stay within a box. Like preps have to wear Abercrombie, emos have to wear black, skaters have to wear hoodies and sneakers. And that's just boring! :P|||Flip through magazines and pick out articles of clothes that you like. OR go to the mall and buy a sweater or something, and that'll be the centre of your outfit then go home and find things to go with it.

If you've tried all these styles, you probably have a lot of stuff!! Try mixing and matching. And also, don't forget to accessorize!|||go to the store and but the clothes that jump out at you, are in your price range and look good on your body type, buying Accessories never hurts and they might help you find your Style
