which should i get???|||Any traditional sweeper that says it doesn't lose suction is selling you a bill of goods. Suction isn't the cleaning force, it's AIR FLOW. The best cleaner in the world is a Rainbow, hands down.

With a Rainbow there are no bags, you use water in the holding tank. Your Rainbow cleans everything including the air in the room, it's amazing to see. A Rainbow is the only cleaner Restaurants can use while open because it is the only one that doesn't throw crap in the air from the bag or canister...you know that funky smell you get when you 'vacuum'.

My suggestion is to call someone from Rainbow to come and demonstrate one in your home. See what I'm talking about but NO NOT BUY from the salesman. Most stores that sell pre-owned cleaners or repair shops have older Rainbows that you can buy for much less than the 2 thousand they cost new.|||Hi getting the newer one would be more wise, as you will get a least a one year warranty and if the ebay one died on you you'd be spending more money again. Just make sure the dc08 has washable filters, because if they are not washable you will be looking at buying a filter every 6 months (if used regularly).

I have a "BUSH" vaccum from harvey normal and it is a fantastic vaccum ( although you still needto buy a filter).

So in summary id say buy the safer option and its more likely to last longer and has a guarrentee :)|||I have a kirby elite and I love it. have had it for many years still working.. they are very expensive though. I would not buy a used vaccum if it is on ebay there is a reason. The other vaccum I swear by if the hoover.|||Go to Wal Mart and get a Bissell for $50. Or if you want a HEPA filter pay $100 for a Hoover|||Buy a 'Henry' they are the best, better than Dyson. They say Dyson never loses suction and that's rubbish|||In consumer reports the Dyson did not get a very good rating, I would not get that one. Believe it or not the one vacuum to get good marks was Eureka The Boss. I have had one for 15 years and still have good suction , it has on board tools ect. I think the new models have more options than mine. It runs about $140.00. The second vacuum you listed I really haven't heard of...maybe we don't have it here in the states. I do know that every vacuum that was bag-less ended up loosing suction after a while of use ( consumer reports). Hope this helps....|||Anything but a Dyson|||The dc08 for $499 will be much more convenient and reliable, after all you pay for what you get , and car cleaning , sits on stairs, radix cyclone techonolgy and other features will improve the speeed and quality you get the job done.

Go for the $499, treat yourself
