Question Details: i have been offered a perfect condition dyson dc05 on ebay for $275 it has: --- 1200 watts --- cord rewind --- on board tools (crevice tool missing) --- 5 filter stages --- bagless 鈥?so no loss of suction --- clear bin, so you can see how full it is --- telescopic tubes --- lifetime hepa anti allergy filters (washable) --- sits on stairs --- Australian Allergy Foundation seal of approval --- Turbobrush 鈥?to improve pick up of pet hairs and other fibres --- Adjusts to carpet thickness or i can get a brand new dc08 origin barrel from a store for $499 and has these features: Radix Cyclone鈩?technology Combination floor tool No filters to buy Approved for Allergy Sufferers High velocity airflow tools Car cleaning Suction release trigger Ergonomic wand handle Adjustable wand Removable tool holster Sits on the stairs which should i get???|||Get one that sucks good.|||i dont know.|||dysons are monster heavy machines and the best is an oreck xl -by a landslide -light and powerfuyl easy to fix if belt needs replaced and the hepa filter actually filters the air as u vacuum ...|||If I were you I will go for the brand new one $499 that will save time and money. Good luck.|||From my experience all Dyson models are great. I would pick the one that fits your needs, like do you have pets? Then the turbobrush is for you, if not then that model may not be what you need. Dyson continues to improve their already wonderful vacuums so personally I would get a new model. Go to a retail store and compare all of the models, then if you think the older dc05 will meet your needs get it and save a few dollars.|||Dyson has great suction! To me, thats it. Hoover or Kenmore (cost from 179.99-459.00 at SEARS or KMART) canister. The attachments are much easier to be off/on than the Dyson. You need an act of congress to change attachments. Canisters are much easier to keep your house thourouly (sp?)

vacuumed than an upright. Miele vacuums are very good too. Not any better than the Kenmore or hoover though. You can buy a protection plan for your vacuum 1yr -3yrs. for a affordable price. Hope that helps!|||the best vacuum cleaner to get is your mother-in-law, shes free, tidy and a real big sucker
