Can you help me figure where i should buy my clothes. What type of hair cuts? Places that are cheap but not as cheap as the Salvation Army and Thrift Store. I am into beach style. I live MA by the ocean and i love it. I just turned thirteen and i want to become more like a teen and not like a child. I want to be more that what i already am. Where should i shop for clothes that aren't really expensive? I usaly shop at Kohls but that place is getting really boring. How should i treat my pimples? My Style is like cool, ripped jeans. Flip Flops. I am in 7th Grade and thats when the "dating stage usaly starts. I want to look more appealing to the girls.
I am not a real good tanner is there stuff you can buy at the local supermarket or drug store that sells stuff to make you look like you got tanned. Stuff that makes your skin darker? But not real expensive stuff.Oh I forgot I am hearing Impaired which means i have to wear hearing aids. If your wondering I DO TALK LIKE REGUALR PEOPLE! (I dont mean it mean) But I cut my hair to about 2 inches long and bleached the tips(WITHOUT MY MOM KNOWING!!! LOL) She found out though and was like cool! the girls at my school like bleached tiped hair. Should i grow my hair out again to 8 inches long so it covers my h-aids? Please give my your opinion. thanks|||ok fer clothes: take my advice im 15...go to american eagle, hollister, aeropostle and stores like that
hair cut: pick up a magazine...they have the hottest hairstyles in there
pimples: wash your face everyday and if u have to, use medcation that is specifically used for acne
tanners: if u buy a sunless tanner from the store, make sure it isnt the cheapy kind that will turn your skin orange
hearing aids: if ur worried about people making fun of u for them, dont worry about it, if they make fun of them, then just ignore them, not everyone is born perfectly. Just do whatever u want to do, not what others want u to do|||Ok first if you are gonna do anything do it for yourself. Second clothes arent that cheap but you might wanna try Walmart they have beach style in mens /kids and its quite inexpensive. Third pimples are a thing of being a teenager try to get your mom top buy you proactive. Just be you the clothes will help but to attract the women its all about the personality. Tanner is very unhealthy your better off pale.|||Do not act dumb.|||If you have anybody you regularly hang out with, say Where'd you get that shirt. Then you might find other cool stuff at that store.|||Go to Steve %26amp; Barry's. There are several of them in Massachusetts. There prices make WalMart look like a rip off.
Last year I bought a stitched winter jacket there for like 6.99. People were guessing the price at over $200. They have jeans, t-shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, button down shirts everything and I have never paid more then 6.99 for anything there.
I don't think they do shoes. When I went there last summer, there was a Mom, who gave each of her kids $200 to spend for their back to school clothing. She was thrilled with the amount of clothing they got, the kids - all high school age were happy to shop there. It looked like a win-win situation to me.
The place is always full of kids.
I think Jergens has a lotion that will make you skin appear tanned.
As for hearing aids, don't worry about them. If you can talk like the other kids and do the same activities, no one will even notice them in a few days. Wear you hair in a style that looks best for you.
My son used to put toothpaste on the big zit's at night ...he said it worked.
Good Luck|||Well, in my opinion, you, being a guy, should spend a little less time worrying about your appearance, and being in 7th grade, should spend a little more time discovering things you like to do. You'll find that a big part of your "style" will come from things that you spend your time doing. After all, it's always better to be appealing to girls because you connect on some level other than just attraction. Why not try outdoor sports (rock climbing is a favorite of mine), indoor sports, or the arts. As for trying to cover your hearing aids...I really don't think it's necessary. Why try to hide something that is a part of who you are? I'm sure your 2-inch bleached tipped hair is cute...although, I, personally, am not really a fan of the blonde tips. Be who you are and your style will just naturally fall into place! As for non-expensive places to shop, try H%26amp;M if you have one out there, Kohl's, Aeropostale, or thrift stores (I'm sure you have to dig there, but I have found some great things).
Oh! And P.S. Please don't go for the fake tanning. Being pale is always better than fake!|||Im a girl also in 7th grade , almost 13, and i've got to say, that girls will fall for you if your personality is good, no matter what you look like. i remember in4th grade, i had a crush on a highly unappealing (to a stranger) boy. Becasue he was funny,, and a gentleman....and I would say (tho this may be off topic!!) that girls like gentleman , not guys who pick on them. And they just want you to TELL them if you like them.
andyway, i agree with an earlier post, tanenrs are VERY bad for oyur skin. Use being pale to oyur advantage, wear things that flatter your paleness...and do a few push ups/ pull ups everynight.lol!! okay okay. . .im blabbering on. so Uuuuhm.
I hope ive helped somewhat!!
p.s. i forgot to add this but, if girls really like your personality it seems that appearance just melts away and when you look at them you see there personality, that funny thing oyu did last week. ... etc, sorry if i sound like im trying to be poetic of a smarty or something. . .|||I suggest checking out Old Navy. They have stylish clothing (that is more teen/adult oriented than kid oriented, and even their kids' section (if you're not tall enough to wear adult sizes yet) has great, stylish clothes). I think Old Navy would be your best bet! It's really affordable, too.|||Hey! I think it's really cool how you are trying to make that transition between kid and teen. It's a big step, so don't expect to make it all at once. About your clothes, I can't really help you since I don't live anywhere near where you do and don't know what stores you have. Just walk around in all the male clothing stores in your local malls. Get an idea for what you think looks good and try different styles on. Also look at the mannequins in the stores to get new ideas. To make sure you don't spend too much, come up with an amount that you are willing to spend before you get there, so you'll be less likely to go overboard.
As for zits, you have to remember that being the age you are, you may be seeing a lot of them! I personally pop the poppable ones when they're ready, and I put Oxy on them. It dries them right up, and will cost less than $5.
As for the ladies...don't rush into it! Take your time. Make sure it's okay with your parents that you can date before you do that. If they give you the go ahead, don't just jump on the next girl you see or the first one that seems to like you. Before you even get into the dating arena, make a list of qualities you want in a girlfriend (and be specific!) so that you'll always be able to refer back to that. Don't date a girl that doesn't line up with what you want, because that relationship won't last. Also, middle/high school relationships rarely last very long, so don't get too attached to anyone. Just have fun and take care of yourself.
If being tanned is important to you, there are products you can get to make it look like you are (I call it Fake n' Bake). The tricky part is finding the one that is the right tone for your skin, so get someone who knows about it to help you choose the right one.
That's cool that you're trying out different things with your hair...believe me, I'm in gr.12 and there's a lot of guys in my grade that haven't come that far yet! :) If bleached tips is the style where you are, go right ahead with that. Should you grow your hair out to cover your hearing aids? If you want your hair longer for the winter and want it that way just because you do, sure. But if you're motivation for doing that is to cover your hearing aids, don't! They're nothing to be ashamed of, and if someone can't except you because you have them, there's something wrong with them and they're missing out on a great friendship. Well, those are my opinions like you wanted. Good luck with this school year!|||be a teen, dont change for them,i am sure u look ok as is,|||Pac Sun is a good store to shop at if your in to beach stuff. For the tanning lotion use Neutrogena.|||Go for T.J. Maxx and Marshall's. They've got great stuff! I think that Kohl;s is AMAZING and i go there all the time. Instead of getting all new stuff, wear ur old stuff in a new way, just spice it up with some accessories. Try a pair of jeans, from Kohl's, not ripped or anything, and go help someone fix a car or paint a house or something, and don't worry about whether or not u get ur jeans dirty. It adds a personal flare. Also, get some white, Hanes t-shirts and do the same thing, and then wash them by hand GENTLY! to get out any excess stuff and then wear it under a clean track jacket, zipped up only a few inches, with a belt and belt buckle with ur fave flip-flops.
For the acne, washing ur face every night, using witch hazel (u can get it at Walgreens or a drugstore) after, and using a gentile toner once weekly...it should help.
And about the hearing aid thing- don't cover them. It's a part of who you are. Why be ashamed of them? The right girl for u won't care that u have them...she'll accept it. If u meet someone who doesn't like them, then forget her!
