i have a science fair project where im extracting DNA from strawberries in various stages of life, unripened being one of them. i asked if the grocery store had any but they didn't.|||If you have time to grow your own, that's what I would do. You'll be able to cultivate the fruit at various stages that way. Go to Lowes or Home Depot (or any garden supply store). I'm not sure what region you're located in and how much time you have before the project is due, but you may want to start there. I just bought my strawberry starts for this season (southern U.S.) so i know they're available.
Good luck!|||grow your own. you won't be able to buy unripe strawberries.|||buy from vons|||1)Grow your own.
2)You should get to your nearby farm or where they grow
fruits and vegetables and ask to buy unripened strawberries.|||I grow strawberries in Florida. You can visit our website and leave your request there. www.wishfarms.com
We are in season now and have all stages from flowers to ripe fruit and everything in between (including greens and whites). I am sure we can arrange to send you some via Fedex.
