the clothes that i get there aren't bad at all;I actually think they're better than regular clothes because 1: they're A LOT cheaper and 2: they're in that just-broken-in-stage, so they fit perfectly. and they're also name brand clothes, and other people i think sorta frown upon consignment stores, and i don't see what the issue is. any feedback?|||I think its smart. I never, ever pay retail and am on a first name basis with a few clerks. One girl calls me when they get things that are "my style" in. And people always comment on my Ives St Laurent, Chanel, Burberry, and J. Crew and Banana Republic, never suspecting that I paid pennies on the dollar for them.
I don't generally announce that I got my clothes from consignment stores, it's a little tacky to announce how much you paid for an item.
Shop at the consignment stores, and know you're being smart and frugal, and looking great.|||I, personally love it. She's a smart girl. There is a shop in Santa Barbara I like. They get some of the best clothes in there. A lot of Hollywood stars live up there and from of the quality of the clothing I see there, I think that's one of the places they leave clothing they no longer want or wear.
In this time of economic stress, they are the perfect place to shop, believe me.|||I think it is great! Sometimes these clothes have never been worn, or been worn only once. Often times you'll even find designer clothes that would be much more expensive at a department store, so why waste your money at a department store?
Second-hand clothing (or accessories, furniture, etc.) are also a form of recycling, so that can't be a bad thing.
