Does he like me? How do I get past the friend stage?

I've been friends with this guy for a little over a year... (We're both 16.) I don't have many guy friends, but with him it feels like i've known him forever! He fits in with all my other friends, and we're so much alike, it's almost scary! lol. I think I might be falling in love with him :)


There's a problem though... A few weeks ago one of my friends talked to him saying that we should date. (She didn't tell him that i like him though.) He said that we're such good friends, i'm like a sister to him.


I've seen him twice after that, and he's acting different... He noticed that i got highlights and my dad didnt even notice! lol. I just got my braces off about a week ago, and he saw me and freaked out! He kept telling me how pretty I look and stuff, and we went to target and a couple other stores, and he kept walking really close, and he said that other people probably thought we were on a date or something...


He kept passing me notes and stuff for no reason. lol. I usually wear jeans, and we went swimming and he was saying that it's weird seeing me not wearing jeans, but we've been swimming before and he's never commented on it... He kept trying to sneak up on me and scare me in the pool, it didnt work though, the water is clear and I could see him coming :P


I'm thinking that maybe since my friend talked to him, he's thinking of me different, but i dont know... Maybe he's just being extra friendly... idk. I dont want to scare him away and tell him that i like him if he only sees me as a sister. Is there anyway to get him to see me as more without coming out and saying that i like him?|||hey


Im going through the same thing! talk to some of his friends as he may have told them! then if he does then ask him about it! Thats what i would do but his friends are trying to set us up anyway!





But seriously if you cant talk to him now, then there is no base for the relationship!





If he likes u asa friend then it shouldnt ruin the friendship, and if it does then he wouldnt be worth knowing!!
