What are some good drugstore/department foundations that's also good as stage makeup?

Hello all. Just wanted to know if anyone knows of a great full coverage drugstore/department store (preferably drugstore) foundation that can also be good as stage makeup. I used Ben Nye makeup (which the school provided) before for a play that I did in college but I have absolutely no idea how to order it and I really don't want to because I know it'd be expensive. Plus, being a woman of color who NEVER wears makeup, I know I'd have a hard time finding my shade just by looking at the color swatches on the computer screen.

But I was wondering if there was a drugstore foundation that works great as stage makeup.

I know maybe, Dermablend but I'm hoping for a drugstore/cheaper alternative. AND something that has shades for women of color as well :)

Thanks in advance.

[I'll gladly give the highest possible points I can give for the best answer!]|||MAC has very heavy foundation, and when I say heavy I mean very very thick, so it works great for stage makeup. Typically, people won't use MAC foundations as an everyday thing because of this thickness. I'm not saying it's bad quality, MAC is great, but when people are always going gaga over MAC like it's the only thing out there..you have to realize not all products from the same company are going to be amazing. I know you are looking for cheaper brands..but you also said department so I'm giving it a try. :) Good luck|||I haven't tried that many, but when I have a photoshoot and do my own makeup I use Revlon Colorstay. It is quite heavy coverage without looking caked, and applied with a foundation brush it covers extremely well.
