What major make-up companies test on animals?

I would just like to be more informed as to what companies, mostly drug store brands like CoverGirl, Mabelline, Revlon, L'Oreal, etc.test on animals in any stage of creating makeup.|||Who Cares They'll Die Eventually like You %26amp; Me :)|||I would try looking at PETA's website, they should have a full list there. As for cosmetic companies that DO NOT test on animals, mark. is great. They never test on animals in any stage of creating the products and the products themselves are amazing AND affordable. I am a vegetarian/animal activist and a cosmetologist/mark. rep. You can check out any of their stuff and buy it online at eekiss.mymarkstore.com Here is a statement from them on the subject of animal testing:

Does mark. test on animals?

"No. In fact, Avon Products, Inc. was the first major cosmetic company in the world to take this important step. Our efforts were recognized in 1993 at the World Congress on Alternatives and Animal Use in the Life Sciences. Avon Products, Inc. was also presented with the 1993 Recognition Award from the Johns Hopkins Center for Alternatives to Animal Testing."|||Most of those brands are made in China, and guess what? they do animal torturing. A red flag is the place of manufacturing. While the brand maybe American they have all of their stuff made by contract manufacturers. So when a CEO states, "we do not test on animals" they are stating half truths. They don't test on animals, but their contract manufacturers in China do, and how are you going to protest in China? Good luck with that.

If you want to avoid animal testing, torture all together just stick to brands that are either made in US, Canada, or some European countries. True they cost more, but they don't have the stain of blood on them.|||Off the top of my head, I know that Covergirl and Maybelline test on animals. I think Loreal might too. Clinique and MAC do not. Hope this helped! Return the favor? :) My queston: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?鈥?/a>|||All that you mentioned except Revlon.

A lot of companies still do, I included a link of the major companies that still test on animals as the list is too long to copy and paste.

Hope it helps!|||To make sure they are "safe". If it was real make up, wouldn't you know that all of the SIMPLE ingredients would be safe, instead of putting colors, and chemicals in it? *Just my opinion...*|||Lancome and L'Oreal test on animals even though most people say they do not. It is on google.
